WITH HEAD, HEART AND MIND

BORN TO BE AN ADVENTURER

"It is important for me to be a complete alpinist. That was not always the case. My passion for mountain sports was sparked by my father, who is also a mountain guide. When I was little, he took me on hikes and to small climbing spots, and later on mountain and climbing tours. Even then I was fascinated by nature and steep walls. That's how I got into sport climbing and ice mixed climbing. I move safely and at a high level in classic alpine terrain. In all mountain sports disciplines, fun is always in the foreground."

Jonas Schild (1992) is a professional mountaineer and lives in Bern. In autumn 2020, he completed his training as an IVBV mountain guide. Since then, he has also been passing on his passion for the mountains to his guests.

"What I appreciate about my work as a mountain guide is that it's not about my own demands. The safety, well-being and enjoyment of my guests come first, performance is less important."

He has a bachelor's degree in geography. As an alpinist and climber, he seeks his challenges both at home and in the remote mountains of the world.
